just the mere fact that we listen to an "underground"
music... isnt it kind of elitist?

i mean... alot of people have said, they like it not being
known...

dunno

i guess to a lot of people...the fact that this music isnt
very well known is part of what makes it special...

some people are self inflicted outsiders...who want nothing
to do with the rest of the flock...which means they avoid
(either by choice or chance) things that the 'flock' latches
onto

kinda like being in an exclusive club...would it be worth
being part of a club...if *everyone* was a member?

i think being independent from the flock is a good
thing...since often when people are 'different' from the
majority...it is because they are being themselves...but
then sometimes when people want to be seen as 'different'
but still have the same mentality of those who are part of
the 'herd' they just latch on to a different herd and adopt
a persona which isnt necissarily their own but is different
from that of the main group...
and this is where eliteism becomes lame...when people attach
themselves to an underground scene for the sole reason of
appearing outside of the mainstream...

I think I avoided it first my chance, then when I realized
that I liked everything that the "norm" didnt like, i said
fuck you guys, i got my own shit that I like and your shit
sucks, so ha!

"you laugh because Im different, I laugh because your all
the same"

I used to be pretty elitist about music but I realized that
music is music no matter what the source. If I like Eminem,
I will listen to his music. I don't care that he sells
millions of records; it's a personal choice for me.

But then again I'm often on this board finding about new
electronic artists and on another board finding out about
little known metal bands.

So basically, I don't like to discriminate against a
band/artist just because the artist is popular or not.

"you laugh at me because I'm different, I laugh because
you're all the same"... what a great quote.

New things are discovered when prevailing ways/theories
aren't simple accepted unless they truly seem the most
logical way/theory to you.
I guess I feel the flock is misdirected, the flock of humans
anyway. But I'm one of them which is rather eerie.
