i had an idea for a dj shadow video... i forget which track... its on the Private Press but have the camera in a car, like its the perspective of the driver, and he drives around a city and sees all this bad stuff i know its probably cliched... but thats the first image i got when i heard the song |

Funkmaster: Thank you so much for bringing this up!! I had THE most amazing night last night listening to clarence park by chris clark (on warp rec). here's my idea for the video...the song is Bricks. Setting: A birthday party for a little girl (age 9 or so..don't ask why @_@...its in the song to me). Anyways it would start off with her rushing down the stairs to open the door to five or so other kids. The camra changes view and points toward a backdoor...a glass sliding door and the kids run to it...but the video slows down (like where those kids are running round that bend in chemical brother's song 'hey boy hey girl'). Some pick up water guns and some go for the trampoline. A central story for the video would be a girl that tries her best to hit a boy with a water balloon but always misses him (he always gets her). but at 1:20 she finally gets him and when the bass line kicks in at that time there's a close up of the side of his face. as she throws the ball and hits the back of his head, his head of course kicks forward and the video slows way down. Second sence would cut to the kids on the trampoline and at 1:58 the camera catches three girls in the air coming off from a jump which would be in slow motion again. As the song ends, the camera and production cuts to a very casual feeling and pans out showing the backyard with kids running around and also showing the houses hearby. camera slowly shoots up and shows clouds and the sun and then fades out. I so wish I could get this made :( |

i absolutely find 'shock the monkey' by peter gabriel....freaky....cool.....and totally memorable. it's one of the videos that sticks in my head, plus i love the song. also ALLl of TOOLS video's are cool....disturbing......scary..... a few of NIN's video's are great, ie. 'perfect drug' those are the ones that come to mind right now! =0) |
