Hey colonymike,
great! I'll definately check out that video, hopefully I can
figure out how to work it on my computer...
Well, I had a computer crash but it's now working again...
all my stuff is saved to cdr's though as data files. I guess
I havn't got around to it yet because I'm not really ready
with a finished product... I'm glad that you remembered me,
heh heh. I guess I've uploaded most of my better fairly
finished tracks to www.mp3.com/artificialselection (along
with a good deal of audio wankery) so you can always listen
to them from there for the time being. I also have a new
track "TUTFW" that I think is among the better things I've
made at www.mp3.com/snarkle.

I dowloaded crunch "laurel" and like it a lot, it's a little
simpler compared to tracks on "1/nullpluze", ....maybe an
analogy is a "peel sessions 2" as compared to "lp5". Great
tracks, the first one almost has that magic art pylon
quality of insane sound wizardry, just not as realized
maybe. The second one is rather weird, stumbles along with a
weird beat based on math rather than what obviously sounds
correct or something, sorta like a confield track, like
parahelic triangle or whatever it was called. Crunky's
awesome, quirky little beeping videogamy track. Can't wait
for that new crunch album, I'll probably be buying
everything they do since tracks like toe tac tic are among
my favorite out of anything I've heard anywhere. I also
bought those 2 cd's you recommended gearhound and noodles
foundation off of www.forcedexposure.com, I havn't heard
them enough yet, but they seem ok but definately not magical
like crunch.

hmm... I can't seem to find the video on groovetech, or did
you mean the album would be downloadable, (not the video)?
The album is almost done then? Great.

yeah what i meant was the album is almost done just waiting
for a few more of the rmxs to come back in and then we'll
master it and put it out at which point someone will upload
it and you will be able to download it (and hopefully buy a
copy : ) as for the video it was shot in a victorian manor
a few weeks ago (all spooky) on 35/film and is currently
residing in avid being cut before the fx are done i believe,
it is coming out later in the year as a single/video type
thing . . .

check out the gt show if you get a chance, and look out for
delikatessen 1,2,3 if you like that stuff !!

the laurel ep is an early sampler of crunch 2 it is darker
and a bit more solid in the beats than crunch 1 marking a
move into a different feel for crunch 2 , bit_meddler is
remixing toe tac tic by the way so you should be pleased . .
.

later ; )

It's entertaining/interesting to see nobody's replying, see
nobody even knows crunch pretty much. Yeah yeah, any sense
of taste in art must surely be entirely subjective right?
but our brains and senses were all created by the same
process of evolution. All well, crunch's 1 is a masterpiece
of artistic creation in my book... well specific tracks
anyway. I will officially buy the new crunch from you mike
thereby supporting the artist, lol, (even though I reckon
I've mentioned that)

got the lusine mix back today (very nice) daves back from
the us soon so we'll finish it off then and the album should
be out at the beginning of august, the video is out in
october and there is a crunch remix of evac coming out in
september in the US as well as the delikatessen 10 inch that
came out last month.

Colony will probably be putting out some tracks by half of
cold fusion mafia as skoptik soon too, some electronic
noodles glitch core apparently

: )

glad you like crunch 1 we will probably re-release it on
colony next year with crunch 3 or the year after whenever
we get round to doing it . . .

have you checked out

abstrakt knights (www.halflife-recordings.com)

new ep out AK:EP:02 has had some good reviews in DJ / Jockey
Slut this month (one half of crunch is involved along the
way) headnodding in the key of armchair supposedly

psi-spy BREAKS-LP coming soon (monstermunch)

lots happening so i'll keep you updated

look out for the tipper 5.1 stuff coming too not on colony
though some US label : )

heheh...ive just read a review of the new crunch album...and
i've figured out who you are, mr.mike!

The amazing thing about crunch is the way they mutate the
sound effortlessly. An example is during the end of one
track, it sounds like lots of microscopic rice krispie
popping, but then they mutate exquisitely into water
trickles, which just shows how much control they have over
the sound. Most music artists would just have a wav file of
a water trickling sound, they wouldn't be able to alter the
data of each individual trickle unit, because it would just
a big clumsy wav. Merzbow tried creating stuff like this
maybe but it mostly sucked. The title of that new EP is
called "AK:EP:02"? I doubt I'll find any results for that in
any search engine... where's that review if you remember
wayout? Mike isn't the incredible hulk or something is he??
Or is he your mom? hmm...

what's the title of the new crunch album gonna be, that'd
help in search engines, how do you buy it directly from
colony anyway if there's a way (probably in that website u
gave last time I guess)

the review was of laurel i think...and it was in urb

think so) ..or my mom (at least i dont think so)

secret identity revealed

if you want to but col002 you will be able to at the colony
www (www.colonyproductions.co.uk) in August . . .

yeah dave is just mixing it at the moment and it'll be
around september i think on dvd (5.1 / visuals) as well as
stereo CD i believe, keep a look out !!!

during the day if anyones out there, more old favorites than
glitch-hop though probably ...
