nah, it's pretty cool actually... I've been watching the World Cup a bit, and it's been quite entertaining... there aren't any leagues here I don't think... at least ones that are televised, so I don't get much of a chance to watch it... |

I dunno, I watch hockey and all I see in the defense is hitting, and hooking with the sticks, and all that crap... where is the grace and skill? I admit, some players are VERY skilled, Wayne Gretzky to name one, but the game right now is dominated by hitting and all that crap... the teams that have the biggest guys win... I like basket-ball partly because the players are very skilled... on defense you have to actually use skill and smarts to defend, because if you so much as touch the guy on the wrist it's a foul... Soccer as well involves a lot more skill I think... handling a ball with your feet, come on, that is so unnatural... |

yes, I know there are, and have been lots of super skilled players in hockey, Mario Lemieux being another perfect example, but it's just way too dominated by big players, and fighting, and hitting just to satisfy peoples desires for violence... come on, look at the Toronto Maple Leafs, a guy like Ty Domi, his only point on the team is to fight and hit and all that crap... players practice boxing off the ice... it's just way too crazy for my taste... |

The ''Tie Domis'' of the world give hockey a bad name! In the finals, there's none of that crap, all the players have been really classy. Ron Francis, Yzerman, Larionov, Fedorov, these guys are amazing and have class. I want fighting banned. |

Something i find hard to understand is why Handball isn't a more popular sport than it is? Handball is soooo fun to watch!! More action and goals than football and hockey put together. Soo much skill and teamwork. Actually i think handball is like fusion of Basket and Football (the goal looks like a football goal), it got some hockey innit to (it gets really ruff sometimes) But the biggest reason i love handball is that sweden is so great at it =) |

i think that too... the NHL is dominated by big players, but i just enjoy rooting for the under-dog, i think it goes without saying that most everyone on this board hates the big "SELL OUTS" & "BOY BANDS" because they're far too fucking big... we prefer electronica music, which not very many people have heard of... just like most under-rated VERY skilled hockey players & yes, soccer players are very unheard of as well. |

I must admit the comparison was bad...what I mean is: try to think of the things you feel when somebody says that SAW II is crap, that it is boring..., well thats what I feel if you say soccer is boring... I'm watching Soccer right now ( Americans call is Soccer because its different from football, football is a totally different sport to us, yes we're different countries...so relax) As the the sport itself, its fun. Its better in spanish because they get into it more..and the comemtators are more into the game then you are, so they start screaming, its just a totally different experience listening to the spanish men screaming GOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL..its great. I have only played it in gym class to and it was no competition , i was way taller then everybody and could easily shoot over their heads. Actually i kicked ass in every sport , i went in a art class (with raimons) , go figure...... hehe!! I would like to try it sometime with some really good players , it looks like so much fun!!!! I wouldn't wanna be the goalie though , they must be insane??? I would allso like to play Baseball with some americans who really knows the game. I am pretty good at it , but its boring when no one else is.... I suck at football though..... Making a good hard shoot is much harder than it looks. I could never understand the right teknic. |

Free throws are if you fouled someone, they suck cause you can reach up to 3 points easy, but most players miss free throws....its fun to go to a game and scream your ass off when someone is at the free throw line. |

Yeah i have noticed that the audience bring some sort of white paper stick they shake freneticly (sp?) when the away team is about to make the throw. Very clever , it really creates a white inferno that must be very distracting for the poor player. |
