Ok, I know some of you have suffered by all the spyware
that comes a long with using kazaa...
Just use this link and d/l kazaa lite. You'll finally get
rid of spyware within kazaa...

http://filebox.vt.edu/users/bcoleman/

Warning... when you first use your kazaa lite after
installing it a pop up will appear wich says that there is a
new version availible. DON'T update this version cus it'll
turn your kazaa lite into the latest full version of
kazaa...

make sure you won't delete the file cd_clint.dll when
ad-aware detects it... You'll need this file to use kazaa
lite correctly

What's the deal with Kazaa and Kazaa lite then?

I've done as suggested and uninstalled Kazaa, and installed
the 'lite' version!

From what I understand, one caveat of using kazaa lite is
that you are limited to 96kbps MP3 quality.

I haven't investigated this myself however.

There is something out there called Diet Kaza (note the
single 'a') that is supposed to be even better...

kazaa lite isn't any better than the original kazaa.
the "creator" of kazaa lite got greedy and installed some of
his own spyware in there.
it puts an html file in your documents and
settings/USER/temp folder or windows/temp.
the html file is filled with ads.

yes, ADS...... not spyware

there ARE ads in kazaa light, but not spyware... theres a
difference

btw there is no bitrate limitation on mp3s..... at least not
that i have noticed

i dont use it much for music, but the stuff i have gotten is
128.... im sure there are higher-bitrate files too.

haha, you suck, im running 1.7.1, and i think kazaa limits
the bitrate too 128kbps or lower.
