we are getting a dsl connection wooooo hoooo but my mom
says its the bottom of the line that citizens communications
offers. it says 384kbps downloads. this is quite fast no?
but im wondering how fast exactly? how fast am i going to be
able to get music off soulseek?

You should download a track in 3 minutes. Sometime could be
2 minutes, other times 10 minutes.
You should download at 35Kb/s against 5Kb/s of 56K.

The nice thing is that you will download more tracks at the
same time, very quickly.
