some times do you just need a break?

i havnt listened to much aphex or squarepusher, or BoC
lately...

i think i just need a break

i feel like listening to some acoustic music... like dj
shadow, or the cinematic orchestra

yeah yeah, i know they are considered electronic... but its
has real drums and bass and etc etc. it isnt all electronic

i know ill be back into my IMD craze in a bit... but i think
i just need a break

can anyone else relate?

I listen to as much rock as I do to electronic. I will NEVER
tire of classic 60's and 70's rock, EVER. I've been
listening to Pet Sounds way too much lately, more than
anything else.

I'm in a rock mood right now... last few bands I've listened
to in the last hour: Pink Floyd, Sloan, Beach Boys, The Who,
System of a Down, Steve Dawson.

Yeah i go through periods when I just get tired of
electronic sounds...need a break w/ some more organic
instruments. It usually doesn't last long though.

For me, one thing summer has brought with it is a craving
for BoC, especially Geogaddi.

solos.

Yeah I go through phases of what I want to listen to and I
just entered a big electronic phase about a week ago.
Probably because of this board, you bastards. :)

I haven't listened to BOC in DAYS!!!

That's good. It'll be a treat when I get in a BOC mood,
definitely. Absence makes the heart grow fonder.

For some instrumental stuff, try Godspeed You Black Emperor!
and FCS North(live drum 'n' bass outfit in seattle)

FCS doesn't even use synths much at all.

you crazy weirdo... every sound is acoustic... every impulse
that our mind makes out is sent through electricity... isn't
that weird? yeah... i know... you're thinking... "quoth, you
are the weirdo!" .... i might be... but then, i'm not the
one who has to read this... i am the one who typed this!

THINK ABOUT IT!
