Aphex Film Soundtrack

Travis Bickle on 2001-07-15 07:15 [#00015155]

Richard is doing part of an original soundtrack for a piece
of the new collaboration film called (working title)"In Time
And Space", It's shot in three parts by three different
directors. The directors are Jim Jarmusch, Todd Haynes, and
Guiseppe Tornatore. The film has been in production for
almost two months, and Jim Jarmusch is said to have almost
finished his piece. In an interview with D & C Magazine,
Jarmusch stated that "Aphex" are doing an orignal soundtrack
for his part. Jamrusch's last film had Ghost Dog had RZA
giving an original soundtrack, Neil Young provided the
original soundtrack to Dead Man and so on. When asked what
the film is about, Jarmusch said that it will be "providing
Americans the oppurtunity to see what USA looks like through
a foreigners eyes." Although it wasn't in the interview, I
read on a site that it's about a man who seeks refuge from
Germany, arriving in Ney York, he becomes friends with a
schizophrenic. It's being released through Fine Line and
would probably be released pretty soon, I'll try and find as
much information as possible and post it.

i thought aphex hated the idea of creating music for
soundtracks - because its like such a closed enviroment for
creativity. hmm, maybe he got used to the idea....

Look at the date. It's an ancient piece.
