with autechre currating it's sure to suck. i mean ATP has
been great for seeing BANDS (sonic youth, mogwai, godspeed,
shellac, breeders, so many other great live acts). it'll be
so boring to have a fuckin' LAPTOP FESTIVAL. *huge yawn*

thats bollox, how do you know its gonna be all electronic
artists?
i'm sure autechre have got wide ranging influences, this'll
be a chance for them to show us who they're into.

i don't know at all, but it's fair to say that it'll be more
than usual. for the sake of argument, let's say they have a
wide variety of electronic and hip-hop artists. there're
still no live instruments really being played, unless you
count anti-pop consortium's syth playing and sequencers.

well i'm expecting the unexpected, thats why i like
autechre, they dont usually do what people are expecting.
but until the lineups announced it's all gonna be
speculation.

but honestly don't you agree it's a SLIM chance that there
will be more "live" bands than dj's/electronic acts?

Yeah..I'd expect AE to not go the obvious route and have all
electronic or laptop bands...I imagine they'll ensure
there's a good mix of stuff...but then again, looking at
previous ATPs, it probably wouldn't hurt to have a
predominately electronic lineup; prev ATPs seem a bit
rock/indie orientated (with a few exceptions..AE at
ATP2001...great live show and excellent live recording doing
the rounds..)...

When & Where is it?...camber sands again????...

plus "All Tommorrows Parties" is my fave VU song...NICO at
her prime (if she ever had one)...f.great Gibson book as
well...(yeah, ATP is getting overused!!! but it is a good
name, I guess)...

yes, its at camber sands, 4, 5, 6 April, and the weekend
before too.

titsworth, thats the thing, dont expect anything.
it might all be mime and theatre, you never know :)

i do hope you're right about being surprised, cos i think an
all laptop and hip-hop festival would be a real snoozer

I'm very tempted...it's not too far from here...

but April is nearly a year away so god knows what I'll be up
to by then...I find it tricky to plan anything a day in
advance let alone a year..

i have wanted to go ATP since i knew it.
but it'place always too far.
it's pity.
it's hardly necessary to say that
all tomorrow's party is good name.

i know what you mean jand, i can't plan fuckall, but it was
too tempting to get it paid and out the way now, then all
i've got to do is get there.

cool huh? i love me some PE. now what i would give anything
to hear is the conversation between autechre and chuck d
(cos ae aer organizing, they have to call the artists). how
interesting would that be to hear?

chuck listens to a lot of music (of many styles), and he was
on a boom boom sattelites song once, but i dunno if he was
familiar with autechre. i could be wrong though!

"yea, i did this freestyle over ccec..."
