This is so cool!

I've installed it on my PC and my PocketPC - you can get the
computer to read you stories, in the form of eBooks! If you
don't mind the somewhat robotic voice (which you can alter
and change) it's not bad actually!

Any else used this?

I had some eBooks on the CD that came with my iPaq, such as
Tarzan, Peter Pan, 80 Days around the World, Huckleberry
Finn....and a few more. They're about 300KB each...

In Reader's settings you need to turn off the Verbosity
option, otherwise it'll read the punctuation. Which is comma
very annoying full stop.

:)

When you haven't got the time of day to read a book (like
me) what better way, than to get someone to read it to you,
whilst you do something else!

You need to do a search for some eBooks Jarworski! I can
email you some of the ones I have later on if you want! The
files are usually zipped, but when unzipped the extention is
.LIT

have to learn to read...

I've come home for lunch at the moment, when I go back to
work in half-hour I'll send you an email with one or two.

I've left my Compaq CD on my desk, in my laptop. :(

I haven't got time for reading - its such a waste of time!

This is a more efficient means of absorbing info! :)

Chris: I won't have any of this. No time for reading? Then
make time!!! That is if you value reading at all. Reading is
not only absorbing information, it includes contemplation
and transcendence, which, of course may be included in
listening too, but, as you say, you want to do other things
while listening to an ebook being read, so, in a way you're
not really doing justice to the book in question.

I do enough reading here!! Reading posts, its just a matter
of time before I get my computer to read these to me!!

Hehehee!!

yeah...readers pretty cool...haven't used the voice option
yet (didn't even know it was there)...

Probably won't use the text reading option as I like to
concentrate on text when I read it...perhaps something quiet
in the backg musicwise....but you kinda owe it to the author
to devote some mindtime to their work....

but Jedi Chris...what's all this, "I haven't got enough time
for reading?"...slow down, use the force...whats the
hurry?... so easy to whip thru a book quickly and come out
the end none the wiser...

I manage to read at least 2 books a week...probably more
most of the time...my house is like a library tho; books
everywhere...

agree so much with meho....if you ain't got time to do a
book justice then why bother reading...

I don't tend to read books at all - I'd rather spend two
hours watching a film or programme on TV. I know that books
contain so much more detail, but I have a very short
attention span.....

Hmm... thanks for those files Chris, but I canna get the
