The only reason he's a plumber is because the limitations of the hardware made it tough to make a body with nice colors and detail, so they had to outfit him with overalls rather than give him a nice top and bottom half of a body. And the only reason he has a mustache is so they wouldn't have to make a mouth, which was tough to do with such a primitive machine. The reason he's a mustached plumber is because of the crappy technology! I read this in an interview with Miyamoto. He even composed the music himself, with no training, taltented guy. |
