i am in the midst of moving, and while i am homeless, i am staying at my wife's aunt's and uncle's house. they have this totally kick ass home entertainment system... my question is, how do those speakers work? they are just a panel about 6 or so feet tall by two feet or so, and only about two inches thick. how do such speakers work?

hmm i saw something on tech tv about this new polymer stuff that they were using to make thin speakers..and also tiny generators to be put in the heels of army boots...which would power their equipment using energy created by the pressure of their foot as they walked...
i didnt realize they were already selling those speakers though
