Im not talking about how low it goes but how cool it sounds
-- how it interacts with the drums. Mine are:

Titan - Photek
The National Anthem - Radiohead
Staalfur - Sigur Ros
Call and Responce - Source Direct

i like the bassline to boards of canada's roygbiv - at
first, it just sounds plain good, but when the melody and
chords come in, it makes all these really nice harmonies and
stuff. and that tune just kicks anyway: you always want to
play it more than once..

yeah, I'm with you, hannibal. Roygbiv's bassline is

Yeah, Roygbiv's bassline is just timeless... really
stunning.

My favorite bassline ever is Come Together... just oozes
Beatles coolness!

Victor Wooten - Turbo Jazz: That song has the wickedest
bassline I've ever heard.

Primus - Tommy the Cat (Live Rhinoplasty Version): Another
great bassline due in part to The Reddings' "Awakening"
being played in the middle, but the rest is great too,
nonetheless.

Squarepusher - Come On My Selector: Everyone's probably
heard this one.

yeah Airbag, National Anthem, and Bones by Radiohead all
have killer bass parts... also, I love the bass in Every
Breath You Take, and other Police and Sting songs... Roygbiv
is killer...

Oh, and lots of stuff by the band Rush... check out the song
Leave that Thing Alone... Geddy Lee is a god on the bass!!!

oops, I meant stuka by primal scream, although that one's
good, too.
also, primus - my name is mud
opening bassline in so what by miles davis. there are a lot
of ragga and jungle basslines I like, they're so atonal and
catchy.
