I've noticed a lot of popups coming from no where...and all i run is soulseek, and sometmes my sis runs AIM, or MSNIM, but i usually close those dwn as soon as i hop on the PC... anyone else notice this? |

i dunno... thou the latest trend is to have pop-ups pop-up behind a webpage, so people dont know who to blame... and what the hell they do while sitting back there..? |

yeah, i've noticed....but it's not IE6, just the current thinking in Internet advertising is that OnPage adverts don't work that well, and PopUps ensure a far higher click thru.... Get one of those popup killer programs if it bothers you....there are quite a few around... |

but these pop ups come from me browsing non popup sites...i've also noticed these little "slide-ups" that kinda slide up, fom the bottom of my lower right... |

you probably have something like GAIN installed it gets installed with other software do you read the license agreements when you install stuff? |

i use ie6. the only popup that reglarly comes up is called asic_temp and that is launched by MSNIM |
