if they decide to split and 3 D continues to make music its
not so big deal.
imo he's behind most of their music.
when mushroom left he said he's about to make his own music
but i dont think he released anything yet.anyone knows
anything bout his music?

I dont think Massive Attack will EVER be as good as they
ONCE were....( Blue Lines...Mezzanine)....but I would hate
to see em split for reals.

that mos def track is fantastic, almost the best thing
theyve ever done
why they didnt release it properly is beyond my
understanding

I saw them live in '98 on the Mezzanine tour and it made me
appreciate that album A LOT more afterwards. The songs are
so powerful and the bass is amazing. All three of their
albums I find excellent but they're all totally different so
it's really hard to say which is best.

But yeah, it would be shit if they split up.

Daddy G has the meanest voice ever, I can´t understand why
they haven´t used it more.
I thught they had an album finished that they were going to
release this fall, will that still come out if they split
up. I sure hope so, the Massive are my all-time favourite
band..

what do you mean they didn't released properly? it was put
on a very popular soundtrack (blade 2; it's even used in the
film prominently), given to dj's as a promo 12", and put on
their web site as an mp3 for everyone to download. it'd had
been cool to have it on their album but then again mos is
such a powerhouse emcee that he might just cause the album
to feel imbalanced. mezzanine despite its outside vocalists
sounds like just one group.

anyway, i too am worried about the group splitting. i
thought the massive attack i loved was over after mushroom
left, but they surprised me with the excellent song they did
with mos def. if that's exemplary of their new material than
the album should be almost if not as good as mezzanine. but
3D and Daddy G not talking for 6 months isn't a good sign.
i've never seen them in concert, i hope they stick around
long enough for me to realize that dream.

yeah leftfield were bickering all the time when making R+S
(which was mediocre IMO) all the time

i think "i against i" was pretty crap - but then, as some of
you know, i ain't a MA fan - i like a few of their songs,
but i don't like them as people particularly, which
influences me
