u listen to cornish acid or vase in and you get the feel
this music is for angry people, i sure as heck feel like
doing something cynical when listening to some of this stuff

everything on the rdj album sounds very upbeat and happy to
me... some of the Autechre music out there is very dark, as
is some of Aphex Twins stuff, but I dunno if it makes me
want bad things...

my parents think there is something oddly disturbing going
on if im listening to Confield... but apart from that, they
kinda appreciate Ae... my mum even called them incredibly
talented

heh, I played Come to Daddy pretty loud today, and my dad
didn't say anything... I guess he just didn't hear maybe...

I was listening to squarepusher's go plastic album, and
track 7, green way trajectory i think its called, when it
does those really high pitches... my dad was like "Turn that
bullshit off!"

the way he screamed it was very amussing. He seemed offended
that anyone would make such noise and sell it.

haha

Whenever I play 'Cut the Midrange..' my mum skakes her bum
and makes all these really ugly faces..

does anyones parents ever walk into the room, when some
happier aphex song is on, and they dance to it, badly,
making y ou ashamed that they would dance that way to your
beloved music?

mine do...

i don't feel ae, aphex or pusher make "angry" music. i mean,
alright, come to daddy is perhaps slightly mean. but the
rest is just quite...sophisticated. ae being very dark,
atmospheric and brooding, aphex being quirky, silly or
funny, and pusher being on a speed tip. if i want some angry
stuff, i'll put on hellfish, snares or some hardcore bogdan.
that always gets out the madman in me.
