the red army?

england were obliged to attack germany but they didn't. if
they had done it the war would have last for about 3 months

Steamtank we didn't even have to enter the war. It was at
our discretion whether to enter the war but we did because
of poland. Up until then Hitlers main aim was to go
eastwards...he didn't have any interest in Britain.

I've read another book a bit like that called 'what if',
essays on if various events in history had turned out
differently and their implications. Like if Britain haden't
been forced out of the US or if Alexander The Great had died
prematurely

well, would you count the discovery channel as an official
source? ;)

the germans always saw the english as their worthy
neighbours, and many britains were highly flattered by that.

"the germans always saw the english as their worthy

oh yeah sure, we had quite a successful Nazi party here
under Oswald Moseley..

apparently yes, we were seen as genetically pure or
something

(sorry for the numerous posts!)

you've also got to remember though that even though there
was a feeling germany had been treated harshly after the
treaty of versaille, we weren't a nation of kraut lovers!

my grandfather was on the pier on the east coast when some
warships appeared and started shelling the town, he ran home
and everyone had dissappeared into the woods!
