...
fuck....

still...perhaps I can finally get em to buy me a new
one..:)...

gotta look on the bright side....

I feel like that Micael Landy...the artist guy who destroyed
all his possesions ...I've lost sooooo much art work;
hopefully it' something simple but maybe it's a good chance
to begin again....

Fuck the past...

Its not very nice when you loose data - its happened to me.
Working in IT I'm allways preaching the importance of
backing up, and then one time I got careless moving data
between two harddisk or partitions - and lost the lot!

I was stunned.....gobsmacked! There was nothing anyone could
say or do for me. I lost 6 months worth of work. One
consolation was, that second time around, the recreated
documents were better....but its not the case is it?

Anyway, I hope everything is OK, and you haven't lost
anything!

This is why I new more about data recovery. I had a Western
Digital 30GB drive go belly up on me. I was so
pissed....lost alot of the songs I had been working on, 300
Winamp skins, 3GB of MP3s, countless video files...So
pissed. Western Digital will pay..........

You got off lucky, check this out:

it's a lovely Samsung GT8000...

My little baby is ill...I feel like some parent whose child
has dissapeaed...

Still...I'm gonna get this fucker working if it's the last
thing I do...NO computer has ever been able to resist my
tech magic....

Luckily, we have a new shipment in of higher spec ones....so
I gonna grab one tommorrow and see if the HD works in
that...

I think the HD is ok...it doesn't evne get as far as
accessing it so I reckon it's something else and I can just
pop the HD in another Laptop and go from there....

Thanks for the word of consolation, people...much
appreacited...

Gonna take some sleeping pills now so I can forget about it
for a few hours...

I reckon you can just pop a new hard drive in it and it
should pop up instantly, none of my Mactops have ever
crashed.
