Did anyone hear about his comments regarding the
Independent's Middle East correspondent and the Labour MP
and critic of Israel George Galloway? Apparently he doesn't
like their support for the Palestinians and their criticism
of Israel and would like to shoot them.

I won't be watching anymore of his films, the prick. He
part-owns a hotel in my native Cardiff where I shall be
returning next month. Maybe I should piss in the lobby when
I get back.

after all that bollocks with the mis-quoting of StockHausen
after 911, I find it really hard to trust any "quotes"...

Tell us more/give us some links....

I don't trust anything the news tells me nowadays.
Reguardless of how left or right wing they appear to be, and
how small the news source is.

I read it in the Editor that comes with Saturday's Guardian.
While it said "allegedly" George Gallowy is speaking to his
lawyer so I guess its true. I'll try and find something on
the web. And the correspondent is Robert Fisk by the way.

Cheers...I'll have a look, think I've got it sitting
somewhere at home...

Any idea where the original story is from?..The Editor is
like a cutnpaste version of the weeks news culled from
various newspapers/mags so even though it's The Guardian
(possibly the only decent paper in the UK), it could still
be bollocks...

Ever since 911 I get a real stinky feeling from most news
media, even more so than before...it was so shocking to see
how the merest mention of war made everyone
ultra-conservative & there were/was way too few dissenting
voices heard...

I felt let down basically...

Someone told me that Fisk wrote a defence in Friday's
Independent.

Yes, the voices of dissent have been too few. I see Dick (by
name & nature) Cheney said that the US is likely to be
attacked again. I love the way they cynically massage the
population's fear so that they can carry on murdering around
the world. I mean Cuba, as part of the axis of evil? Fuck
right off.

Much as i hate US imperialism, i have to say that Israel/
Palestina thing is not all that simple, mate.

I know its complex but the way I see it; since 1948
Palestinians have been expelled from their land through
violence and mass murder. The state of Israel is intent on
using these measures to continually push the Palestinians
out. All this has been sponsored by the US who give them
massive military and financial aid in return for being their
watchdog in the region. The Palestinians who have only
stones to throw at Israeli western manufactured tanks and
helicopters have those who see suicide bombings as their
only line of defence.

I know this is the standard view of events for those like me
but I don't see it any other way (but that's Jonesy the
dogmatic Marxist all over ha, ha).

You're such a tease Meho. I shall spank you to within an
inch of your life should you be such a brute again.

Yes I've got your email. Thanks eternally for a very
comprehensive and cliche-free list. I appreciate the effort
and will act in faith upon your recommendations. I will
reply after a cigarette break; I need my fix until lunch.

junkie. So young and already wasting your life away...

Ahh, what do you mean my list was cliche-free? I used every
music-journalism clichee regarding free jazz I could think
of. And about that spanking, I'm looking forward to every
single spank of it...

I'm ignorant of free jazz so your cliches went undetected.
You should have kept quiet and I would have elevated your
status in my mind.

Yeah, I read that too. It was at a CAmbridge Union debate.
He was asked who he'd most like to fight to the death; he
named Galloway and Fisk and said that he'd rather just shoot
them.

Was he just having a laugh? If i see him in Cardiff I'll
whoop his ass.

Erm, not really. I wouldn't even have the courage to call
him naughty names.

Here's the article where I first read about it.
There's a brilliantly hilarious quote from Galloway about
Malkovich:

"Who can get inside the head of John Malkovich, a very
strange man offering a dangerous liaison - indeed, offering
a killing field?"
