Anyone know of some free ones? I basicly need a massive
range of free single notes.

The Akai Splendid Piano is the best free one IMHO, you can
find it here:

Beware that it takes a long time to unpack. It works
properly in Gigasampler.

A set of samples that are assigned to keys so you can play
the sample at different pitches or to create a drumset. a
soundfont also contains parameters to let the samplingengine
know how to play the sample(where the loops are,
envelopesettings, etc) So you can play a soundfont like a
musical instrument with the keyboard or sequence it with a
sequencer.
