punk: what else jazz you like apart from the obvious?

gigi: yeah, well there's loads of sandman here at reasonable
prices too, but IT'S IN FRENCH and I can't fucking read
it... boohoo. I've read the first sandman book and it's
excellent, so much better than Gaiman's prose works... BTW,
my country is also being run by football which is really
pathetic at the moment as our national team and national
league are really bad...

Nice. Music tends to last longer in my opinion. You can't be
bored and just hum yourself a comic. You can be anywhere ans
listening to your music because it's always in your head
plus then you'll improvise around it in your head. Well I do
anyway.

I agree. I love books/ comics, but I'm a bit more
music-obsessed. Obviously, it's easier to consume and does
not necessarilly require your full attention.

Sorry, I was on the radiohead board for a while.. Oh, what
other Jazz? Hmm.. Charles mingus, Bud powell, Miles Davis,
Coltrane, Django Reinhardt, Lester Young.. fudge. I'm into
tons actually, I'd rather not list it all right now. Those
are just some of the ones that came to my head upon first
recollection. I like a lot of other things and types of
music as well.. yup. Just ask.

Jazz is great, I love playing it in the band I go to. Miles
Davis rules. Have you heard of Conrad Gozzo? He's insane.
Just whacks out htose high notes like they're nothing.

Conrad Gozzo? Who the fuck is that. High notes? then he must
be a sax player, right? Care to give us some more
information on him?

He's a trumpet player. He's dead now. Alcoholism. I think
I've got his name partyly wrong. My Piano teacher told me
about him and played me some of his stuff. Awesome. He was
the lead trumpet for people like Sinatra and loads of other
peole round that era. I think he did some "solo" albums that
were pure improvised jazz and blues. Have to find out more
myself.
