Everyone who has an "Ultimate Idea",
list it here!

Yesterday, I listened to the real-audio file of Cuckoo. Some
hours later, when I was home, the song got back in my mind
and it made me think of an AphexTwin attraction...ending up
in a discussion with my brother about an Aphex Twin
theme-park:
-playing the DRUKQS beats in rollercoasters
-playing Cuckoo in one of those fast spinning attractions
(you know 'the octopus'"?)
-everywhere guys in those DonkeyRhubarb suits insulting
people...
-and more more more more more

anyone, more suggestions?

i have an idea for a concept noise album but i dont plan on
listing it here. but your theme park idea is pretty funny.
definetly have those evil hoochie girls from the window
licker video selling balloons at it. and there has to be a
ride where everyone gets sprayed with shampaigne and jumps
around.

yeah, great ideas you have!
:)

and what about a ride through the entire park in a limousine
with that "windowlicker" guy......quite hilarious when he
opens his window 40 times a day trying to make people get
in!

BTW I'm planning to make a remix-album with totally insane
remixes of classics like 'Praise You' (Fatboy)...
Naturally I will not put it on the net.....that could cost
me TONS or MILLIONS for illegal sampling.....

But when I use those samples only for my own purposes, is
that legal?

anyone knows if Wizards Teeth is still alive? I know from a
long time ago that he used to have weird ideas (like making
music by boiling lobsters and smacking meat with a hammer or
something).

i think its legal to put them on the net, just not sell the
music... dont know for sure though.

could be, because i remember remixes on this site that use
AFX samples.
But it remains dangerous....
:) Think of a track with samples of Prodigy, Michael
Jackson, Dr Dre, Fatboy Slim, Apex Twin etc etc ... and than
the amount of money you have to pay for using illegal
samples......
BANKRUPT 1000 TIMES

As long as you aren't making a ton of cash from the track(s)
then you shouldn't get any hassle legalwise...

Look at VVM and SKAM stuff...as long as you keep yourself
off the industries radar then you should be ok to use
whatever you want...

We had a discussion here about an aphex theme park a few
months agos...

Oh and any distribution (or public performance) of anything
with uncleared samples is technically illegal. This includes
the internet...

However, as Jand said, you're unlikely to get hassle unless
you make big bucks from it and even then you might get away
with it. The band "The Verve" had bittersweet symphony out
for about 4 months before the guy who composed the melody
launched a court case against them.

Your best bet (if they're any good and you want them
released) is to send them to a record label and get it
released as white label. If it's popular (gets played in
clubs etc.) the record company will be more inclined to
release it "legally" with all the samples paid for.

And with samples you pay a percentage of profits rather than
a one off fee, so you're unlikely to make a loss...
