I am flying up to San Fransisco tommorow...I am soo
excited, that city is sooo fun...My sister is graduating
from college and we will be there all weekend....

Plenty of drinks and laughs and fun...

Anyone scared of flying?...I always get VERY NERVOUS (almost
sick) before i get ON the plane, but one on, I am ok...its
really wierd...I have family members who REFUSE to fly...I
just could'nt imagine being THAT scared...But I know lots of
people hate it....Especially post 9-11

Anyone?...

Cheers...=)

I love flying... the only thing I hate about it is that my
ears get really bad with the pressure changes and shit...
Usually after landing, my ears hurt for hours...

I don't know...
I 've never travelled with a plain.
This summer I'll fly for the first time.
I don't know what to expect.

Horrified, I can barely breathe on a plane. Waiting in an
airport makes me insane, and waiting on a plane makes me
insaner. Flying is the pinnacle of insanity.

if you are in economy and you suddenly feel really cramped
and have a spastic fidget

I was on a german plane and I look forward to the meals and
they gave me the worst sliced meat and that cold bread ever

it doesn't make me feel special... but watching the city
lights from above while taking off is beautiful. :)

I flew into Chicago one time, and we flew over the downtown
area with all the skyscrapers and stuff... it was really
nice... but the airport in Chicago is one of the busiest in
the world, and probably one of the biggest, and my brother
was supposed to be there to meet us, but he was late... so
here we were waiting around in this huge airport, wondering
if he didn't go to the wrong place or whatever... it was
kinda scary...

Take off and landing are a fantastic BUZZ !!!

I absolutely love the adrenalin excitement thing
try to get near the window !!

mid-air is tedious, really time to kill.... 3 hours or more
is painful.

Answer = Dennis Bergkamp . He's scared of it.

yeah, the mid-air is tedious... until you hit an air pocket
or something which is great fun... :)

You can bring along a cd player, but still, it's hard to
hear it with the sound of the airplace and all... I listened
to the whole of The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway by Genesis
flying from Chicago to St John's... :)

tip> don't applaud when the plane lands safely.

I've seen it done.

You won't be able to leave the plane quick enough :D

flying is fun...

last time i flew back from america we were in an electrical
storm and the plane was all over the place. it was scary at
first, but i plugged in and it began to sort of be fun! It's
like on a rollercoaster, when ur stomach goes! Was nice to
finally land tho - 9 hours in a plane = not so nice!

offline uzim on 2002-05-15 22:49 [#00221513]

this seems weird to me... using the word "flying" when
you're only sitting on a plane...

Flying IS the safest way to travel - apparently. I don't
have any fears of flying at all, I think its fantastic!

Even when it gets a bit bumpy - its just like being at the
fun fair!! :)

Flying home to the UK last week from Toronto, I upgraded my
ticket to first class (first time I have ever done that..)
and I got treated like royalty!! :)

Like i said, the waiting to BOARD part is the most nerve
racking for me...Plus I usually DRINK when flying or
sleep...(or both) to calm me down....And I always have
headphones.

uzim>

good point..
I have felt closer to actually "flying" in dreams
usually in a standing or sitting position
floating up & down & over things

thats reaally cool (like Mary Poppins LOL ..)

when I dream of planes its usually some kind of fucked up/
scary scenario like having to land the thing on a crowded
motorway

You don't have that privelidge when flying over the Atlantic
though do you? Landing on a motorway!

Imagine you we lucky enough to survive the crash landing
into the ocean - OK? The water around Greenland is just a
bit chilly isn't it! I doubt you'd live!

The chances are so remote ! ! I watched a documentary
about it. One pilot was being interviewed, and he said that
he is more concerned about the drive from his house to the
airport. He said the roads are full of lunatics (and dog
killers...sorry Reflex) but when in the air, he was
surrounded by professionals!

Flying is perfectly safe! Have a great time Ironlung!

sea, drowning, sharks!!

sharks are lovely... misunderstood.

the thing that would kill you at sea would be ignorance.

ask B3n "Mears" :)

I don't like the cheesy 'comedy' shows they show, when your
on a 7/8 hour flight. You know what I mean, when there's not
enough time to show 3 films. We watched 'The Majestic' and
'Oceans 11' last week, an episode of 'Spin City', 'Friends'
and some shitty comedy show with practical jokes.

:(
