I usually stop reading a book I don't like. I hate doing that but life's too short to read crap. I think the last shit book I read was an Iain Banks novel called Walking on Glass. I've stuck to the good stuff since then and gone mostly for Penguin Classics.

I've just started the Unbearable Lightness of Being. Its cool so far.
One book I never got anything out of was the Outsider which everyone always goes on about. I read it at the insistence of my girlfriend.

I've got Nausea and my girlfriend has the Plague so I'll check them out. the Camus book I'm talking about is about a guy living in Algeria whose mother dies and who stands trial for murder etc.

Yo enthy -- i bought proud highway the other week - haven't read it yet :) yeah, this one is fascinating, seeing as it covers most of his major works -- really interesting. i take it you've read most of his books, otherwise i doubt it would be as interesting..:)

hey, I kinda liked Insomnia... although I only got like halfway through it... I thought it was ok though...
My favorite Stephen King book is It though... it's so excellent... Desperation is also good!!
