2 bad mice are kinda silly, i have their album.. got it when
i was 14 or something. "bomb scare" and "2 bad mice take
you" are so bad it's funny..

"even angels cast shadows" by omni trio is one of may fave
albums of last year.
very minimalistic and emotional.

esp. like 'diffusion loops'

try and get ur hands on either 99.1 or 99.2 - on moving
shadow records - i cant remember which one it is, but of
these sampler discs has a CD mix of Omni Trios' older stuff.
and 01.1 has a 20min mix of his new album. each is about 1
quid

Chapman >

damn good call bro' :)

moving shadow released some lush tunes

I like Omni Trio and LTJ Bukem (good looking records)
especially

the 12" mix of one of the tracks on "Haunted science" ..
can't remember which... has a great sample from Planet of
the Apes.. awesome !

"Beware the beast man... let him not breed in great numbers
for he will make a desert out of his home and yours .!. Shun
him. Drive him back into his jungle lair !!! "

inspired :)

I have the "Haunted Science LP" and havent listened to it
for yonks, from what I can remember it was more cruisy than
the other stuff I was listening to

as far as old school d'nb is concerned for me it's
-NO-U-TURN/NNU/SAIGON (edrush+nico),
-CHROME (panacea, problemchild, heinrich at hart,
-GYRATION (brubaker)
-AUDIOBLUEPRINT (psion)
-METALHEADS (dom+roland, adam f, goldie)

I like that silly oldskool skit =)

It seems like Aphex is very much inspired by that era on the
drukqs album.
54 cymru beats for example is very oldskool imo.

were both in my winamp playlist when i posted this thread :)
glad their are some others about who appreciate these
foundations of a genre
