I thought its high time I get some new clothes, but I want
to get some clothing by design companies with nice,
interesting designs. I'm particularly interested in japanese
motifs and symbols.

I was looking at theDesignerRepublics stuff and yet again I
come across this elitest stupid attitude that covers so many
of my favourite things.

A)Why make everything so limited!?
B)Why make everything so stupidly expensive just because its
by them. A notepad or keyring for £5, a A1 poster for
£50!? I mean, come on!

Is there anywhere that sells things with nice creative
designs that have sensible prices?

Cheers

Well, probably the fact they don't make many...but i'm sure
the could make enough sell enough to make it cost effective
and cheaper for the buyers!

I really don't think they are Kashmir tshirts either

i saw a RAWKUS hoodie which was like £20 more than any
other hoodies in the shop -- totally pissed me off - so i
ended up buying a talib kweli/DJ hitek T-shirt for a more
reasonable 20 quid --- i really hate elitism and exclusivity
grrrr

that kinda of pecunary wastage is criminal and nauseous on a
moral level -- did you see the trailers for that "YOUNG POSH
AND RICH" programme (or whatever the hell it was called)?
that made me so physically ill that i collapsed on the
ground foaming at the mouth for about 30 minutes before my

Yeah, when I saw the trailer for that (I didn't see the
actual thing) I thought at first it was a parody of American
Psycho.

It was pretty fucking sad.

that little bitch laughing about spending a grand on 3
t-shirts -- man, society is severely fucked up in the head
if the herd want to watch that kinda demoralising shit at
night before returning to their pointless jobs the neXt
morning

I usually by cheap clothes, it's only my style concious
girlfriend and my brother that buy me "fancy" clothes. I
don't mind well made stylish clothes, but some branded stuff
falls apart in 2 weeks waste of time if you ask me. I hate
having to wear suits for work. Expensive, uncomfortable and
IMO they don't look that good.

Gap really piss me off. I pick up cheap jeans in their sales
but their stuff is shit quality and such a rip off. Its
mostly really boring too.

Yeah I once made the mistake of buying a £40 pair of combat
trousers from gap. Within weeks the buttons had come off,
six months later they fell apart.

My friend got similar trouser for £10 in an army surplus
store. 3 Years later, his are still wearable...

If you buy their jumpers, you wash them once and then
they're too small even for your 18 month old cousin.
Bastards.

I always loved C & A but they've closed them down. I wept at
the doorway when they closed the store for the last time. It
was the end of an era.

i dunno, they seem to make those rephlex shirts in spurts..
they stoped for a while, and then started again..and i
havent seen any for sale in a while..

ebay is actually a good place to look for obscure shirts,
not everything is 'official'.. but you can usually tell
