i just thought this needed a thread of its own. According to Nacmat´s quote: ""Music is very important, but wouldn't make sense without my
girlfriend's love"
i just wanted to point out that (i think) it isn´t true, at all. Nothing personal with my fellow architect man, just that music´s power
relies in the fact that it can trascend anything, love, hate, angst, joy, hapiness and ...maybe, life itself.
I too love my girlfriend very much, but for me, music (and specially IDM) is my "secret weapon", with which i´m almighty, invisible and invincible.
THE WEE_MAN HAS SPOKEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't really understand? You use music to attack other people?

hehehehe....i dunno if you´re being sarcastic or what, but i just feel that music and "my girlfriend´s love" are in two completely different levels, at least for me.....that´s all.
btw, Syd says hello........ ;)

i dunno.. i think nacmat's statement does kinda make sense...music has always been my substitute for a girlfriend...and for some reason..much of my favorite music makes me think of being in love...(whatever thats like...)
so i would only imagine my appreciation of it enhancing/being enhanced by the experience of being in love

music doesn't make sense if you can't share it.

i have to agree, music is great when shared. my bf has really opened up my ears to different music (mostly hip/hop and rap) stuff i prolly woulda just left on the edge since i wouldn't have dabbled too much in it. i am very appreciative for his recommendations (he's just brilliant=0), and i hope that in some way i've opened up his ears to music as well.
music, like a lot of other things, when shared with the person you love it takes on a different meaning, sometimes it's happy, sometimes sad. but it is transformed from just a solo listen.
there is some music that is very personal tho, and listening to it by myself is preferred.
