Super 8 is like endless fun...good for you!!!

Creating anything outside of the computer is so unusual
nowadays that all these old bits of tech have got new lease
of life...

pretty cheap...and ive seen cameras pretty cheap on ebay...

what i was curious about was if/how you can hook them up to
computers/vcrs..

You can't hook a film camera up to video sources - unless
the film is transferred to a high-end nonlinear editing
system like Avid Composer (and I have no idea how to get
film to computer storage).

For film footage to be displayed on a TV it has to be
telecined (converted to NTSC or PAL format).

Super 8 cameras are cool. I got a Super 8 VCR from a local
hardware store that used it to record their security tapes.
$55. Good deal, although it doesnt have any good features
like those high end VCRs that can edit stuff. It just has
standard Play, Rew, Stop, etc.
