none of these are scary, but the combination of the three is

a bit disturbing... " hehe

I love Boca...used to go there all the time when I lived in
Ft.Lauderdale..it's like every cliched retirement community
from every cliched sitcom and movie come to life..complete
with wrinkled poolside sunbathers with skins darker than a
balck dude..and those technicolour parasols...we used to
drop acid and drive through the streets..was like being in a
Tim Burton movie in a Suburb out of Beetleguise or Edward
Scissorhands

I do I do!!! Like Monoid, Boc was the first to get me into
idm, and I havn't been disappointed. At first, I was a
little upset with geogaddi, but thats long passed, because I
love it now. I also like how whenever I'm starting to get
bored, I'll find a new track that blows my mind, like xyz.

oh my goodness yes, I love them to death... all I've
listened to the last three days or so has been Boards of
Canada!!! I think they're the greatest... why do I like
them? There music is just so damn gorgeous and cool, and
amazing!!! I think I'm just now starting to really FULLY get
into Music has the Right to Children... I think each song is
fantastic on that album, and it would have to be my
favorite... but I also think A Beautiful Place Out in the
Country is fantastic as well... it's a perfect EP, but I
wouldn't feel right picking a four song ep as a groups best
release (even though I did in my favorite BoC release thread
:)... and Geogaddi is another fantastic album... I
downloaded Twoism last night, and that's excellent as
well!!!! Boards of Canada can do no wrong in my books!!!
They're fantastic!!

"I don't know about the rest of you guys but listening to
BOC has really changed my life. It really changed my opinion
on certain aspects of life , like I sometimes don't want to
live a technological city-life anymore. Ever since "in a
beautiful place out in the country" I really want to live in
a beautiful place out in the country. It feels strange but I
think that they really are "brainwashing" us to change our
views on the world and start living a more simple rural
lifestyle.
I'd also like to have bonfire gatherings in the woods but
the problem is : I don't know anyone who really loves BOC as
much to enjoy it in that context. Most of my friends and
relatives like to go out to parties and such where they can
drink their asses of and dance all night long.I mean I like
that too sometimes but it gets very boring.
It isn't intellectually challenging anymore , I'd much more
like to gather in the woods and SMOKE our asses of and take
a trip into the marvellous world of BOC.
(I really wonder if Marcus and Mike enjoy smoking too , if
you know what I mean)
So big up to Markus and Mike for showing me the trail down
the rabbit hole and showing me that there is another way to
live your live than being cramped up in this hectic consumer
live style while we go on destroying the globe to fill our
every superficial shallow needs !
(by the way I'm not turning into a hippie or a treehugger)"

This is not my words.

:=)

BOC can change your life.

i love boc because of the intense atmosphere and mood they
can create in a couple of minutes in a track. i love them
because their music is sophisticated, detailed, warm,
nostalgic and a rewarding listen.

I live in a beautiful place out in the country, in the black
forrest to be specific....Id like to live in a city
tho.......BoC are good tho.....but there are other Bands out
there that might have a completly other emotional effect on
you..........It really depends, i can get an emotional
respond out of a simple "soulles" Techno track, when im in
the mood for it.....bla, im drunk.......

approach.
