Look, I'm relativley new to this, but I had to throw this
out there.....

Any of you music people finding mixing to be a pain the ass?


With me, it completely depends on the track....some tracks
everything just falls into place, no complaints, it's
amazing.....

And then some, no matter what I do, it's like I'm abusing
myself through sound. You know the feeling where it never
sounds 'just right'......

I've adopted the 'less is more' attitude on compression and
EQing, which does help....but fuck.....

thoughts? commments?

mixing down my tracks consist of pushing play in cubase and
record on my external Philips audio-cd recorder.

Funny how all these label bosses compliment me on my clear
and punchy mixes
