Talk of Boards of Canada got me thinking... usually I find
the use of silence in music to break the flow or not
actually add anything to the album or song. What is you
favorite use of silence in music, if you have one, and why?

Mine is by far the 50 second break between (Omega) and
(Zutto), the last two tracks of Vision Creation Newsun.
After an extremely intense first seven songs the eigth winds
down with some strange twirling that induces strange
emotions for me, and that it goes to the most needed break
of silence in music history (imo). Breath is cought after
the intense psychedelic round of sunworship and the final
track comes in for the most peaceful outro ever.

sometimes i like to just go through all my records just to
listen to the silent bits inbetween the tracks i feel that
its such a waste to ignore them!
