I found pretty amusing. Here's one finding: Females (with body piercings) were about 2-1/2 times more likely to have had sex, 2-1/2 times more likely to have smoked, 2-1/2 times as likely to have used marijuana in the past month, and almost two times as likely to have skipped school in the last year. I suppose for each decade since the 50s, you'd be able to substitute piercings for something else and reach the same conclusions. These studies are stupid. |

I know a lot of people that are peirced [iam not, i dont want to get it.... not my style, i like tattoos on me though], and a lot of these people are pussies.... go figure. |

piercing are just some kind of jewellery, it's very nice on some persons — i don't find it gross, rebellious or something :) maybe this idea (piercing are rebellious, shocking...) comes from the fact that it's kind of new... (?) everybody weren't used to see piercings when it came out... absoutely not sure about that — i don't know when piercings came out in our society... |

I don't do anything permanent to my body intentionally- ritual scarification, tattooes piercings etc. Call me an old fogey, but I would really hate to have tattooes etc. when I'm older jsut because I did it when Iw as "young and foolish". I like the way that you can look "natural" when you're naked. I think piercings etc. detract from that. My girlfriend is of the same opinion. |
