This song (first track on LP5) has been infesting my brain
over the last 3 days, such simplicity yet such
complexity...I feel like an art critic.

I have listened to it 15 times over the last 48 hours half
simply enjoying it, half trying to figure it out...
ahh fuck, I have forgotten how to express myself.

How could somone not respond to this topic?

That track is amazing! It's so simple, but so complex at the
same time, I know what you mean. Psychotic stuff, it's so
full of panic and insanity.

"How could somone not respond to this topic? "

That's what I was thinking!

Thanks Ophecks, I don't feel alone in this world anymore! =)

It's a great intro! It's intriguing and sort of foreshadows
the rest of the record but not in an "all songs sound like
this" sort of way!

I agree.
Does anyone have any ideas about the name?

This track used to be my favorite track by anyone period.
Now I only listen to it very rarely at the right time. It's
still excellent, it's about information overload, I figured
it out a little bit though and that made it worse (when I
was able to seperate out the main drum beat from all the
chaotic debris, it sounded slightly repetitious, but it
doesn't matter really, it's such an incredible track) If you
like this track, ae's most similar track to this one is
track 2 off chichlisuite. (another information overload
weird similar technique) I actually think this one track by
www.mp3.com/jbohn (james bohn) called "walking on eggshells"
is SLIGHTLY similar but not really.

at first, i thought it was the worst track on the album
because it sounded like a bunch of noize layers all
carelessly thrown in together. but after about 25 listens,
i learned to really appreciated it and can hear all the
subtle rythms & sounds. it's a mindblowing track!

acroyear2
great song
great song title
complexity, many times i have to hear Autechre's music a few
times before it actually sinks in and makes sense as a music
piece!

I think I'm going to put it on now... time to take a deep
breath and prepare to be blown away yet again by Booth and
Brown. Engarde!

This was the first song I ever heard by Autehcre and it
told sold me on them and I went and bought LP5 right then.
Used to really like it ...still do...but I rarely listen to
it anymore.......

when I've been really lazy/lethargic for a long time, I
listen to that song to kick me back into shape and make me
think pragmatically. great track.

It is a great track for sure, but I like Arch Carrier as the
best from the LP5

doesn't sound very simple to me... I love all the metalic
sounds in the main beat... and it just seems to get more and
more sinister to me, until finally it slows down towards the
end and this amazing subtle melody is left there... I love
this song!!!

and then 777 comes right after it... man what a treat for
the brain huh? 777 is an amazing track imo!!!
