Which would u rather do if u made/make songs? Keep them to yourself and not want anyone to hear em but ur chums, like that guy Richard, or share them with everyone and anyone u know?

I think it depends what you write them for, some of my songs I love to share with people, others are my own personal gems :-)

I say sharing, definitely. I make music for me to listen to, and I think making music is fun! However, I don't always want to be criticized, so I keep it all pretty much private. But that will change, soon. :)

I feel that it is the artists responsibility to share their music.
As any form of art is an expression by the artist due to a reaction from their environment, in one way or another, part of the responsibility of that art is owned by the environment, and everyone in that environment.

I can see the logic in that point of view, if a sunrise inspires a song, that sunrise is just as much other people's as yours.
That said, I'm considering taking down my earlier "not so good" tracks now that better new ones will be up any day...
