This part is so gorgeous, where the percussion falls away
for a few seconds leaving the fagile melody alone in all its
glory... it's so gorgeous...

Right on!
I think Selected Ambient Works 85-92 is one of the
most-beautiful records of all time. Especially "Tha." It's
brilliant from beginning to end, but 4:05 marks a really
interesting bit!

I love driving around listening to ''Tha''. The world seems
to slow down, the cars and people and everything appear to
be underwater, and I drift off into a dream like state as I
cruise. That's dangerous, and I probably should be more
careful.

I think this album is my favorite for the simple reason that
it's so gorgeous and relaxing that I can listen to it
anytime... something like SAWII, or Drukqs is a mood type
thing... if I'm in a certain mood I'll give it a listen...

It is the perfect song to listen to during the following
activities:

-doing homework in the library
-reading
-going to sleep

great album, even after all these years. Truly timeless.

it's probably his simplest recording as far as composition
goes, but it's his most effective in my opinion...

Classics has simpler composition. Lots of easier/more-basic

I like the fact that you guys talk about specific seconds in
the songs, because it really focuses on the details of what

Yeah, I've noticed a lot of RDJ's stuff has a completely
melodic breakdown where the beats stop and you are left with
pure emotion of music.... Incredible.
