I have amultimedi assignment, an element of it involves
sound, but:
a) We can't use commercial music (although we can use other
people's music with copyright permission)
b)We have to use soundforge(!) for all audio editing :(

Does anyone there have some original - i.e. they've written
it, classical type music in midi format that I can use for
this piece of coursework?

I'm thinking Marlowe would be a good bet... BTW you still
haven't mailed me that rockfall level you were stuck on, if
you could provide me with some "nice" violin music I'd do
the level for you :)

Thanks in advance to all of you...

I remember when I worked at a cable access station, when I
was editing projects, we weren't allowed to use copywritten
music (only this shitty canned royalty-free stuff)...but I
used Orbital's Lush 3-1 once, and no one noticed ;)

I was tempted to use some BoC and say it was mine (noone
would notice), but I already know my lecturer doesn't like
it and I want something relaxing, but traditional
sounding...

As good as SAW 2 is I'd hardly call it "traditional
sounding" :)
I want something like just violins or a simple "rural" piece
to play over my intro video (just drive bys of woods & lakes
etc.) ...

well funnily enough, i have written many classical
compositions -- i have a MIDI file on my old site, an etude
in B major for piano -- it's short and it's really shit MIDI
but of course you could use it (the piece is nice)...

...apart from that, my track liquid reverie is quite
classical sounding - strings/cello/flute &tc with a
trip-hoppy beat to it- feel free to use that - if this post
hasn't been satisfactory, please feel free to tell me more
;)

You wanna hear a relaxing song? Try An ending (ascent) by
Brian Eno. This song puts me to sleep every time...

Yeah, I really like that song, but I can't use it as it is
commercial...

Cheers marlowe...
