YO, that was a dope track Phatbert -- really liked it - nice
acid squelches at the start -- was that a missy elliot
sample you used - my wife said it was from "get your freak
on"? anyway, it went really nicely -- good to dance to
hombre :)

YO, listening to 5th tea now (fyphtea) --

nice interweaving of plaintive melodies - funky and
minimalist at the same time --i like it. some nice
percussion sequencing - definately an improvement on the
PSeq front

nice :)

or is that "50"?

Tight Drumming and a good melody. Use of panning effects is
kept restrained and as a result doesn't sound too cheesy. I
like the "underbeat" that comes in at 2.30. The melody
changes are unpredictable without going too far off in
another direction.

All in all very good work. Would you be interested in
remixing one of my tracks for me? Although it doesn't sound
as though you use fruity loops ;)

no unfortunately I don't use fruity loops but I'd love to
remix one of your tracks if there's another way.

Thanks a million for the posiitive feedback guys.

Yeah, marlowe, it's supposed to be "50" but I'll letcha call
it watchawan.

Reason 1.0.1, SoundEdit116 (from 1993) and an Evolution

all on one 233MHz machine with 96MB RAM.

Umm, wavs would probably be too big to DL, I'll try
converting them to midi and seeing which one sounds most
like the original. Thanks for agreeing to remix me BT :)

cheers, hex. I think I'll put this on my demo.

I still can't really decide on my name.
I've gone through Cypher, Deophat Chopsy, Wizard and now
Seedy Burner. I don't think the name Phatbert represents my
music properly.

two reasons why i can't do this:
1. I'm not a registered user (shock! horror!)
I know I'll have to buy it soon though, cos I'm using it a
LOT recently.
2. My 233Mhz iMac probably won't be able to handle it with
96MB RAM.

Aarghh I want one of those new eMacs goddammit!

Thanks for the link anyway, hex. :-)

no, only the missy elliot thing was sampled. All the drums
and loops were sequenced. It's possible it sounds like it
though.

sound just like fatboy slim/chemical bros

very nice phatbert...definetly demo material..but that miisy
elliot line is just not working for me..it loosens the
tightness of the song...

offline Phatbert 000 from Augsburg (Germany) on 2002-05-06 00:21 [#00207309]
Points: 1618 Status: Lurker

maybe i better take that out then.
I just wanted to see if I could give the sample a flow, cos
the original is very stop/start and putting a dance beat on
it makes it, well, more danceable.
I may be talking absolute pish but it is rather late.

Anyway, kewl that you like it. I'm gonna send off me demo
tomorrow. Gotta dig out the best five tracks to send off.
