I am staying up all night finishing a program, just before
dawn me and a friend are going to climb a small mountain
nearby and get digital camera pics of the sunrise and I'm
going to get some birdsong samples.

And if I have time, I'll do some more work on my remixes
whilst I'm exhausted...

Hope I get this program finished in time...
I'll probably go out anyway though, even if it's not.

I live in a mountainous area and I'm just going to drive to
the top of a hill then climb the last 50 ft or so. Get some
pics, and samples then come back and record a track.
Hopefuly the sunrise will "inspire" me to write something
good.

I can't believe you. You can just head out to a mountain
top for dawn whenever you feel like it? I'm so jealous!

Bird song is beautiful music.

no pleasure without pain? thats just ancient guilt imprint,
get off it. "we must suffer for our sins, blah blah blah."
and i'm reading into it too much (if that's what your
thinking), cause it's all tied to the same roots.

Ha ha, I can hike and climb and I sometimes do. But I don't
have the time to hike up there today- besides it'd be
suicidal to climb a mountain in the dark...

It's not the getting there that's the big deal, it's what
I'll hopefully get from being there...

I got some top notch pictures, but the minidisc battery died
beforre I could capture any birdsong. Oh well, it was worth
it to see the sunrise alone :)

Had to drive for about 15 minutes then climb for 10 minutes.
Spectacular view with all the lights and then the sun coming
up over the mountains.

We then went down to the bay where the sea was like glass
and got some photos of the boats. I feel so awake now after
all that and I haven't slept for 24 hours.
