couple comments on the squarepusher stuff...i love that untitled single released a while ago. It kicks soo much arse.
in terms of warp...i think the website would be cool again if they had the message boards back up
i think, the new design is cool..but the music should play no matter where u goto in the site...
There will never be another afx, squarepusher, boc , etc. when u think about it they all have their unique style...and that can only be duplicated. I'm just happy these guys are still releasing music. granted i don't like all the artists on warp, but the ones i listen to never disappoint me.
I think hardcore fans bitch too much. I totally feel in love when drukqs came out, but naturally there were a large # of dicks that dismissed it quickly. Just be happy we got any new afx :-P

I forgot to mention M3rck, which IMO has been the most consistant in releasing good cd's.

warp is still dominant in the sense it owns much of the artists I follow:afx,ae,squarepusher....if afx+squarepusher leave warp it's a big loss for warp.expecially because someone like lfo+NOW etc seems disappeared...
confield is great druqks is great geogaddi is great tiny reminder is great.... but rephlex is at the top of my list for now

Oi bitch hog, first off thanks for your diplomatic take on what I said. But you're full of BULL!
I never said EVERYONE hates Go Plastic. I said almost everyone. That was the vibe I was getting off this and the joyrex MB in the last year.
Also, the post was trying to show that the latest releases from the really great Warp artists had overall been a bit underwhelming.
I also stated that I only knew one person who is a TLS fanatic and he doesn't like the new album, I NEVER said that everybody hates Tiny Reminders.
If you can't understand my posts then don't reply to them.
Btw, I'm not an American and don't have American relatives. Your senses are fucked!

and i think go plastic is an example of this. you people get amazed by all the stuff SP makes on that record to make it sound cool.. but in the end (it doesn't even matteeeeer haha) it makes it sound like crap

I think that's wrong, its the complexity of the music that makes it so listenable and beautiful. I reckon a lot of rephlex's stuff sounds like cheesy 80's music and don't know why everyone raves about ALL their releases being so good

i see the point about recent albums being weak: []pushers new album is weak - even the first track had a better version on the single! drukgs is good but how often do you listen to it? bogdan is good but not exciting. boc is awesome though! plaids new ep is great. but i try not to be blinkered by warps history - there are other great labels out there. city centre offices , morr and planet-u just 3 off the top of my head

Warp is just another label like Gap. Warp CDs make for fashionalbe decorations in one's room. End of story.

for some reason ive never really listened to any rephlex releases and i own nothing from that particular label. after reading some of the posts, i feel i should give it a chance. i always had the impression (probably wrong) that rephlex was a label that was cheap/not serious.
