mp3.com alternatives?

ok...... i think i will finally get some sort of website to
put up tunes on

most (well, almost ALL) of the people, on this board and
off, who have music on the net have mp3.com pages.....
(at least from my experience)

i know there are some problems there though......
quality limitations
longs waits to get u and ur songs approved
etc....

what alternatives are there, and how do they compare?
(the have to be free, of course)

um. I had ampcast for a while, but now they want $25. or is
it $75? whatever amount it is, it's that amount too much for
me.

I tried to get onto vitaminic.com, but for some reason it
won't work. if you can get that to work for you, it might be
a good deal for you.

best of luck, and let me know if and when you find a
solution.

www.vitaminic.co.uk (they have international sites)

accepted my track day after I uploaded it. but not always..

I don't know who pays the best, but I used to visit a site
called iuma.com

I don't even know if it still exists. Maybe I'll visit now.

iuma is a good one, but doesn't let much in customizablity,
i wonder about it's payments...

i put a shitty song on it a LONG time ago, and still cent
random checks of about 10cents...

how well does it pay? i'm more than interested in
subscribing in a host site, but it needs to be
reasonable...

mp3.com is 20.00 a month and the formula for money back is
fucking insaine! it's about half a cent per dl...which means
that i have to get over 40,000 dl's a month to break even...

Yeah... MP3.COM are absolute cunts... when I finish up my
new material I plan to try to upload a track so sample
ridden that they won't pass it, and then when they tell me
that I need to remove the samples I will tell them that they
are the worst service out there, that I am canceling my
account, and that I am taking residence in Ampcast.

ampcast eh? i was just surfing it a bit ago, and the service
was charging the fans to dl the tracks...it was
insane...like a dollar per dl! but the profits are split
50/50.

interesting...
