Well I'm not British but words like well-wicked and lush both definately come to mind when listening. Plaid are amazing, I'm definately going to check out Black Dog. Only thing is I can't seem to find any of their releases, I might have to (gasp) download it, in the meantime... |

Funny thins is.. is that there is a GREAT bar in my city down on the "strip" called the Black Dog, and there is a Bar called Lush too... hehe.... Xanatos: is there really going to be a GTA Maimi???!??!!? |

you can get "Bytes", their first full length from CDuniverse.com has anybody heard the new Black Dog (the other guy without the Plaid guys), he has a new collaberation CD that has something to do with William S Burroughs, s'posed to be really out there and different, have not heard it yet... |

Ken, the original member from Black dog makes 'World music' so I'm not that excited about this new thing but P-brane is a good direction for Plaid to go, less noodeling. |

I laughed in my cousin's face the first time he told me that he thought something was "well good". Being Irish I hadn't heard such a crap expression (I'd heard other crap expressions) and I still find it funny when people use "well" instead of very. Cracks me up every time. 'Specially when Mr. G says it. |

Yeah, everybody should check out the Black Dog's three, pre-Plaid albums, 'Bytes', 'The Temple of Transparent Balls' and 'Spanners'. Each of these albums is terrific, although I've never met anyone who either owns or has even heard of these CDs. If you see them, though, buy them. |

Oh yeah, I got P-Brane the other day. The tune at the very beginning of the first track is wonderful, but for some stupid reason they do not use it anywhere else in the song. Tssk. |

i got all them Black Dog albums + the fourth not-so-authorized compilation of GPR EPs album 'Parallel'. 'Parallel' and 'Temple of Transparent Balls' are their very best full lengths. 'Spanners' is 3rd and 'Bytes' 4th. your best bet is to dig up Spanners as its the easiest to get good one. licensed for the US on Eastwest. The Black Dog Peel Session is pretty nice to so get that. the rest of anything else Black Dog is kinda hard to come by. the Black Dog Productions EP on Rising High pops up on eBay quite a bit and its real good, but i don't know if you would consider it so much a Black Dog EP as a Plaid one because the record company just used the Black Dog name to capitolise on it. the EP is really by Balil and Atypic (Ed and Andy). they weren't asked about the title or label artwork at all. |

Bytes is the best Black Dog album hands down. Spanners I did not care for, it had like 1 good song, which was Psil-Cosyin. Get Bytes, trust me. It's an awesome album. Also, go listen to their clips on Warp. |

Bytes has some great stuff on it, but there are a couple of poor tunes. Spanners is, I think, an excellent album. The last track in particular, Chesh, is wonderful. Surely you must agree? |

I can't say I'm too fond of Plaid. Some stuff is good, but eh. The style really isn't for me. Maybe if I hear P-Brane it will change my thoughts? |
