Disintegration by The Cure or Gary Numan's The Pleasure
Principle.

Aphex Twin's On is a typical track for raining days

Unless it's light rain when it's still sunny and warm
outside--then I have to go with Radiohead's The Bends.

I like Siren by Heather Nova, but only for London Rain...

I usually put SAW 1 on.

How is that, Inverted Whale? I've only heard "Dear God."
What's the rest like?

Well it's the only XTC album I have so I can't compare it to
anything else by them. It has a theme about seasons and
rebirth. The album feels melancholic, but it also cheers me
up.

"Dear God" is kind of a sore thumb on the album, it sits
uneasily with the rest of the tracks.

And ... there's at least two songs about rain, so maybe
that's why I always put it on.

I pretty much listen to the same stuff that I listen to when
the sun is shining...

But good rainy day albums include Photek - Form&Function,
FSOL's lifeforms, SAW 85-92, etc.

Ha ha, I take it you know Satie was a big fan of the rain?

I listen to the early piano works and perfect day (original)
too.
