Does anyone know, how i can route a input signal thru an
effect and route it direct (realtime) to the output ?

example: I plug a mic on my pc, talk something, and the
signal goes thru a voice processor to the output ...

I've done this with the Orange Vocoder plugin, so it's
possible.. I can't remember how I did it, only that it took
some fiddling (haven't got cubase installed at the moment,
so I can't test it, sorry)

sorry,.can't help U specifically with that,.other then
experiment and read the help files.

I always record my vocals seperately in Wavelab,.and mess
them up with lots of different plug-ins.Then sequence them
in Cubase.
This seems to be the best way ,when mastering a track

plugexpert you're right, i do that on the same way, but i
want test that with my new recording card, cuz the latency
is by 2,5 ms and it would be nice when i can speaking some
lyrics thru effect plug ins on live performs...

hmmmm,.live performances and VST plug-ins,....risky

I'd say invest in an outboard effect unit,.maybe something
cheap from Behringer (vrtualiser/modualiser),...that way
you're assured that your vocals will never crash when
performing.

i just use the computer for the VST's, not for sequencing,
sampling etc. maybe i route the signals from the drummachone
to pc too, just testing around, also midi triggering and
parameter change

but you're right, behringer stuff isn't expensive, got a
mx2004 from them...
