made by Rob Fragilenine.

rF : rob fragilenine from here on 2001-07-04 15:34 [#00012262]

I'm glad everyone liked it...

Phobiazero: Maybe you should have a competition who can make
the best theme song?

Mr.Teeth: Yes the album's finished, as you can see by od's
post.

Phobiazero from Sweden on 2001-07-04 15:36 [#00012263]

Rob: Give me some details.

rF : rob fragilenine from here on 2001-07-04 15:41 [#00012264]

Maybe get people to make a song that mentions 'phobiazero'
or 'aphextwin.nu' at least once/twice/more, and the winner
gets a rare AFX record? Or something to that effect?

wizards teeth on 2001-07-04 15:44 [#00012265]

you send you were going to remix that thing i sent

wizards teeth on 2001-07-04 15:45 [#00012266]

sorry i meant sent not send

rF : rob fragilenine from here on 2001-07-04 15:47 [#00012267]

oh, i haven't really got around to that yet, i forgot...
i'll work on it tomorrow or something...

wizards teeth on 2001-07-04 16:03 [#00012270]

ne bother

does one have any items that i could try to remix

i worked out how to use my synth in conjunction with my
sequencing programme, hence a whole new can of worms.

Question - Is it possible to turn a wav file into a midi
file, if not, WHY NOT?

this question is not directed at you only mr. nine

thanks

teeth

rF : rob fragilenine from here on 2001-07-04 16:19 [#00012272]

wizards teeth: If you want to hear some of my music (for
remixing purposes maybe), go to
members.fortunecity.com/fragilenine/naxmusic.html and
download all of the songs.

Answering your question on midi: No it's not possible to
convert wav to midi files. Midi files only contain the notes
to play certain samples contained on your soundcard. If you
have a soundcard that supports SoundFont (SB Live!, AWE 64,
etc.), you can load your own samples into the soundcard to
use in midi music, but that's about as far as midi goes.
Basically midi files are just a series of 'commands' (called
events) that trigger certain things (eg. notes, pitch
slides, effects, etc.), and they do NOT actually include any
wave data.
I hope that was understandable...

rF

of loyal Aphextwin.nu fans here! Hopefully Ill be getting
into tunes soon enough to make a song.

Hey! Great! Aphexish :) I love it.

rF : rob fragilenine from here on 2001-07-05 07:03 [#00012353]

hopefully)

Here Phobiazero, I baked you some warm cookies... *heh heh
heh*

Chrispy from the UK Plains of Noise on 2001-07-05 08:35 [#00012369]

What a bout Phobiazero fan-art? We could have a competition
for that too!

Synchronicity on 2001-07-05 11:52 [#00012434]

just a note...i was reading above about *.wav not being able
to be converted into *.mid ...and, i'd just like to say that
it is infact possible. Their is software which u can
download (freeware i think), and it allows you to either
record or use a current wave file, which it then converts
into midi, ready for either midi usage or notation. It works
really well if one track at a time is being done. So, yup,
wav can be converted into midi without too many worries...

my face on 2001-07-05 11:56 [#00012435]

Yeah! Then we can all kiss Phobiazero's arse!!

rF : rob fragilenine from here on 2001-07-06 06:12 [#00012626]

the line? Sorry...

m M m M m on 2001-07-06 07:17 [#00012647]

rF : rob fragilenine from here on 2001-07-06 07:51 [#00012653]

i'm giving away pizzas too, allegedly

|REFLEX| from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada on 2001-07-06 08:06 [#00012654]

Pizza? What about free pepsi twist, thats right..... and a
date with carmen electra. Oh shit.

wizards teeth on 2001-07-06 08:54 [#00012667]

sychonisity,

are you aware of the name of the track ?

rF : rob fragilenine from here on 2001-07-06 09:52 [#00012677]

Correction:
This program (known as WAV2MIDI) can only convert the
melody to a midi file, not the actual wave data (ie.
samples, vocals, etc.). It is possible to make a WAV file
into a MIDI file by transferring the notes, *BUT* the
original sample/s that you used to play this melody don't
get transferred. This is bad for recorded guitars/vocals...

Phobia, we moved house about two days ago, I'm at my new
house now and the next door neighbour's dog attacked me and
my head fell off, how does that make you feel? You know,
I've been over at joyrex.com afew times too, does that make
you jealous? It should, you know, I feel as though Joyrex is
your enemy, like a rival school, I want you to call war and
let joyrex beat you and I ate pineapple icecream today too,
and was thinking of buying some fish or a cat or something,
do you have any fish? No? I did not think so, did you shed a
tear for the Americans when they were attacked? I cried in
that film The Fifth Element, you know when Milla Jovovich is
in the back of Bruce Willis' taxi and she starts crying and
says "please help."

XOXOXOXO
Captain Planet

Phobiazero from Sweden on 2001-10-02 15:04 [#00038374]

Phobiazero from Sweden on 2001-10-02 15:04 [#00038375]

declined.
