I personally love it. Every tune a whole world. And so mature, in the way they manage harmony, how the beats are mixed (not totally in-front like first albums), how loops and things don't repeat till exhaustion, just the essential amount of times, how everything evolve together... just perfect. |

I love them all, and i keep on changing on my favorite, appreciating each one beauty (each a world on its own!) I totally fell in love with Deep time, when the vhss appeared. Still one of most beautiful boc tunes, to my heart. I'm totally into I retreat in time and space atm, it's like the whole boc history synthesized in one tune, and the vibe is so positive and nostalgic at the same time, and it just finishes before you have the time to catch it.. Then there's this tune that goes totally naked and sounding almost like an autechre song, just a beat, abstract basses and distant melodies, nothing like boc would have done before. And the couple one's with voices perfectly cut and synch'd with the beats. Those are pretty funny. And the one with just layers and layers of voices working like melodies over a deep bass. And then theres naraka, the prophecy and the obvious ones that i appreciated better with time, when i got the overall aesthetics of the album. To me it's like a good old IDM album, with a personality of its own that keeps getting better and better with every listening, the more you know it. |
