Some questions about Autechre's old bootlegs

Hi all,

as I said in the Dogboy appreciation thread, I'm not
actually him (I'm t yst r on Keyosc). The real Dogboy kindly
let me use his account as it's impossible to create my own
(last registration was in 2015). I needed one to get a
better look at this site in my search for Autechre's old
bootlegs. I'm trying to find out who recorded what and
uploaded it where. I've archived quite a few sets already to
archive.org (ae live archive)

Looking for info has not been easy. This site really doesn't
lend itself too well to go looking for stuff afterwards (no
search function, ambiguous thread titles, etc). So I'd like
to ask you lot some questions;

- JivverDicker (RIP) supposedly had a clean recording of the
2005 London show at SeOne Club, as opposed to the well-known
distorted one. Did he ever give that one up?
- Whatever happened to Mertens (he recorded the 2005 Detroit
show)? Was he active on other sites too? Got a few questions
for him. Not all tampon related, promise!
- Is it known who made the soundboard recordings of Glasgow
2005 and Hemsby 2007?
- A bit of a broader question; Where did the 2001 sets first
appear? Was it p2p mostly, or Dimeadozen?
- Do any of you have recordings that aren't already out
there? I saw some hoarding mentioned, though probably not
done by xlt members.

I had more questions, but resolved some of those already.

Thanks!
Thomas

FAV+
I’d like to think that yoru questions will get answers.
But we only have a small handful of people who are actually
able to post here now. Good luck with your crusades.

RIP jivver/Marky Bell 🪦

if you ever find a half hour dj mix called "ae_mix5_clean"
from around 2003/04 i'd love to hear it again, lost it to a
dead hd. it was a 320kbps mp3 that user k_maty downcoded to
160 so my 56k ass could hear it. features a "push it, push
it" vocal sample and a tempo change into some fuckin beastly
hip hop near the end

my favorite autechre mix is still the old one they streamed
on the warp records site circa 2000. i believe i've found it
on youtube, but with a different intro. tbh, that's not even
strictly autechre material as much as it is them dj'ing &
playing remixes.

godboy tell me about keyosc compared to watmm? How is the
user base?

I used watmm sparingly, but the "new music" forum or
whatever was ok for finding some new jams if you could wade
between all of the analord rip off posts

now I just plum don't know where to find completely new cool
music. I genuinely don't.
