The name elton john has been erased from the internet
archives. Im pretty sure hes bettter on the piano too as hes
been playing it a lot longer than mr james, if thats what
the question was.
Certainly they both used it to get laid.
Wrote compositions for the eleventh finger,
And spell their lovers names in notes.
I wouldnt miss out on all the shenanigans.

I feel like I don't know early Elton John. How did he
get started, how did he gain momentum. I am going to listen
to an early album of his, Honky Château. Even though I
don't really want to.

I might be surprised. Who knows!?!?!?

If you’ve made it this far in life without hearing The
Rocketman, consider yourself lucky.

It’s fine with certain company I.e. the woman, but I gotta
remain manly and strong around here. I have a bad boy
reputation to secure.

I definitely like elton's onld 1970 whatever music. Now like
most celebrities hes just some vaccine etc propagandist or
something. But the come 2 daddy album/windowlicker/rdj album
are hyper imaginative. but eltons old piano is way better
than drukqs piano.

forget the druksQs piano (tho jynweythek ylow >>>>
everyone's darling Avril 14th).

But what's your take on 54 cymru beats? From here
to the end of the track.

My take:
For me, it was the moment that got me into "IDM" in 2002. It
was the music I was always looking for but never knew
existed. That bit is so bad ass, with the cut up machinery
and mean drums, dark tail off as it fades out. Aphex has
never made a better bit than this since, which is sad. Got
old, became a dad, and went soft. I love XMAS_EVET10 [120] (thanaton3 mix) and
all, but it's vaginal compared to 54 cymru.

I think its good, but not exceptional. It sounds like the
beats per minute is set at a semi fast x value, then every
time unit is filled with a sound of some sort, with no empty
space, making the whole timing sound linear, like it needs
more empty space. The 5:15 type effects are ok but pitiful
compared to stuff in buceufphafeoefulus bouncing ball or
windowlicker.

I regularly listen to old mainsteam stuff:
beatles, fleetwood mac, elton john, george michael, queen,
sade, mariah carey, police, hall & oats
probably all of them are for their older music only, before
the entire world got shit.

Music (popular & radio mostly) to me
has been constantly devolving im terms of rhythm, structure,

Variety and overall craftiness since the 90s.
Not dissing todays musicians but i feel the best work has
been done.
today i mainly enjoy rhythm n blues, boogie (jazz)
and some popular derivates of that in pop, hard rock, soul &
disco.
Electronic music generally has a very different appeal to
me.
Aphex twin is to me one of the few that dont bore me
and his virtuosity is outstanding.
No matter which eras releases.

Richard never had a collaboration album with Brandi Carlille
or a CBS special tonight.
What if he was on SNL last night?
Crayyyyy crayyy

I think early Aphex still holds up. Anything post drUkQs is
wank.

Thats pretty harsh, but since the musical styles have
greatly varied the differences in reception are
understandable.
could you elaborate though what makes it wank to you and why
older releases still hold up?
I haven't studied music but i guess there is a bit of common
ground on vocabulary on this board you could use.

I don't know..I was listening to earlier stuff the other
day, think "Classics" and I just thought "This was better"

The Tuss is still good, I think that's the last time he was
GREAT.

We get old, things change, the world moves on, Aphex has
given me countless occasions of musical joy.

I don't know if it's this thread but last night I dreamt of
Elton John. I was in the room with him as he was trying to
come up with the lyrics to a song and it wasn't quite
working out and I felt I couldn't really help him.

Ive had that thought.
To me Aphex seems to have brilliant songs in all of his
releases tho, some have more than others.

IF you shone a blacklight on Elton's organ would it be

Fascinating when you think about it.

it's easy to think that the gayest man is probably the one
filled with most spunk but there should be a more
sophisticated equation
