features the two tracks I posted here with changes in the
mix as suggested by the peeps on here + a track I haven't
previously posted on here! got these initial vibes from the
place I recently moved to and since I already feel on a
different tune after some drama that moderated my enthusiasm
I wanted to put these out, feels as a liberation already.
hope it won't upset!

for clarity I did try to upload a shit with the hosting
service you use but it was slow as hell, worst than
uploading a wav on bandcamp!

Nice work mane the little changes cleaned them up a lot.
Checked the soundcloud one too and it was solid, I'd just
chuck it on the bandcamp release as it fits cleanly.

Said most of what I had to say content wise but track 3 was
new and I enjoyed the twinkly little autechre synth in
there. Neat EP

thanks a lot man! don't think I will put that in the ep,
this is being largely ignored without a fourth track lol,
had only 2 throughout listens, yours and another. thanks a
lot.

Yeah man there's like 10 people left here and most are busy.
I posted a little guide to xltronic listeners that was
initially gonna be a reply but it got too big.

one idea I've long had (and mentioned here before) is this:

(© wolfslice you thieving mothefuckers)

Basically a site where you compare spams.
Say you spam your winter chilla and I spam my
Lamb-Eye (Milk Fed).

The site holds both these tracks, and I leave a comment on
winter chilla. The site lets you know, someone has typed
some shit about your track. But you can't see the comment
till you comment on Lamb Eye. An even exchange of spam.

Now, this site would require heavy moderation-- obviously
some people wouldn't type shit and just try to get listens,
+ whatever this bot problem is (there are "120 people" on
xltronic right now, yeah right).

But the idea is a fundamental even exchange of commentary
between two artists trying to get an earnest listen. How's
this sound in general? I have a buddy willing to help code
it, but promoting the site itself would be almost as bad as
promoting my own music.

I like Marco’s stuff a lot, especially this time around
and he knows it. I’ve told him a time or five on discord.

Love the sleepy relaxed calming stuff he’s done lately
Quite lovely

I listened to the 2nd link on soundcloud. I mostly care
about videogames, so this would be good for some sort of
match 3 esque videogame with a temple/mummy/etc theme. Not
exactly match 3 cuz that's too simple, but with potions and
enemies in some sort of more sophisticated gameplay with a
grid that spans like a dungeon somehow instead of a big
square. Even Come to daddy music etc would be bad for a lot
of videogames because it demands all your concentration so
there's none left for the game. But this has interesting
slightly tricky beats but they're loopy, probably
repetition, but not too much and not in a bad way, is better
for 'chill' background music.

thanks thad!

yes I know some of you peeps like my shit! can't be happier
for the community, but I was in the wrong posting them
before maybe, but I just am not made to keep music secrets.
speaking of bad promotion I only posted this to a warez site
and on LinkedIn, like throwing a coin in a fountain in the
hope of better fortune.

w the beat is loopy but I made it myself hit per hit is not
a preset pattern!

I think the first 2 were previous spams but sound good still
and still think they'd make great kinda dark puzzle game
music. #3 is great too, the first most dominant melody
sounds good/texture & composition, but I think its so
dominant and a bit higher pitch that it should be more rare,
like get erased for n repetitions, then come back for a few
laps later or whatever, and maybe not start with it, but
that's just my opinion.
Stuff that loops in music is kinda weird because its sort of
"redundant" in that it was already said in a previous loop,
and lossy compression could compress that information into
just one loop plus an integer representing # of reps. But
looping gives a primal repetitive chanty chill feel so is
probably particularly good for videogames where you're
mostly thinking about the game and the loop chants are more
of a backdrop not making it too hard to think about game
choices etc.

thanks for checking it out! I know track 3 isn't the most
curated but I enjoyed doing it as simple as it is, didn't
really feel I should display more, those bells just don't
sound right, I did a first mix where they sounded cool like
voices but awful on headphones, so I did an headphones mix
also cos it was late last night and that's the result. but
you know what im doing shits in a day :) much love

oh and about the loopy stuff: that's all I am looking for
when I listen to all kinds of music made with real
instruments and voices, cos it put me into that obsessive
and dancey and hypnotic mood! I agree that's what you're
being basically presented in 90% of the music softwares,
it's on us doing it 'human' or sounding 'analog', that's the
quest

nice rhythms

one thing i like to do is make the melody say words, imply
lyrics even. sometimes it's rather explicit and i wind up
making synths talk like sock puppets

and oh okay you are doing some things of that sort with
rhythm. cool. and that sounds like a wavestation sound
