New Live Soundboards from Autechre

I've been an Autechre fan since 2001, and have been
following them closely ever since. The new live sets are so
fucking cool, and it's so awesome to see that they have
consistently kicked ass all this time. Now I'm back on here
because I thought they'd release a new batch of live
recordings last August (because the 2022 sets came out in
August 2023), but September came and I was just crestfallen.
Now I'm lurking reddit, watmm, and even this site looking
for updates... All we have is Sean said "Things are afoot"
about a week ago. The suspense is killing me, so I just
wanted to tell whoever's still kickin around over here

Yeah, I found that aepages.org website. It's amazing, and
I've been on a AE_LIVE tear... Been listening to the 2015
sets in order, in succession, and using the charts on that
site to keep track of the differences. What a brilliant
contribution to humanity that is

But seriously, the AE_LIVE_2022 TURIN set, at 23:23, holy
fucking shit. Autechre is still killing it

lol ... TBH, I was wondering why there was no discussion of
the new AE live sets going on here, it used to be a bit more
constant... I just thought I'd give something a start...

BTW, I said 23:23 above, but it's actually 23:00, my timer's
fucked up on some of my apps with these longer files

newspapers and tv nowadays actually

Mag, indeed. Thanks though for giving us a citation that we
will fold up
And put it our glove box with the other 150 citations that
won’t get addressed as well

Hopefully we collectively will learn our lesson

If you feel morally obligated to chip in a few dollars and
help pay for them that would be appreciated, otherwise they
just collect as we can’t pay all our citations all the
time.

really looking forward to this lot, fuckin stoked in fact,
the mental fast end bits

its strange how the first half of London B @barbican sounded
totally different to the soundboard though... i rememeber it
really differently eg an infrasonic BOOOOM kick that lit the
whole place up eyes closed

Just want to clarify that I would not perform oral sex on
any of the guys from Autechre, even if it meant new sets
tomorrow, but that doesn't mean I don't love Autechre
maximally

If anything the mp3s should be more expensive, unless Sean
and Robin supplied the files as mp3s and someone's had to
use Ai to upgrade them.

think now that if I'd known they were to turn into some kind
of electronic Grateful Dead I wouldn't have fucking
bothered.

Where do you listen to this "sydney", or is it like costco
where you need a membership, or you have to "buy" it (in a
completely non free market).

Ask Sean nicely to meet up with you at a secure location
and he will describe to you what it sounds like. Make sure
you're not followed.

scroll to AE_SYDNEY_270823

You dont have to pay but the free player is kinda shite and
shuts off after awhile. There are 19 tracks, and each one is
an hour+ long soundboard, with overlapping material, set to
set (+ variations each time).

Krems and Lyon are supposedly hot sets but they're at the
bottom of the list and I feel compelled to go in order.
Haven't listened yet. My favorite so far is still
AE_LONDON_071022_B, though it overlaps with Sydney in most
places.

It's funny that you'd link a clip from the "The Gum." It's
my favorite episode of Seinfeld, probably if there was a
working search history here, I'd be on record having said
that 15 years ago too.

Seinfeld, in it's later seasons, moved into more dense
plotting over freeform conversation. The Gum, in season 7,
was probably the most heavily plotted episode at the time
(season 8 and s9 go further with this).

You had Kramer taking Lloyd Braun under his wing, and it
didn't feel weird because Kramer was such an odd wild card.
That culminates in him eating the decrepit hot dog to
protect Braun, pure physical humor.

You had Lloyd mistaking Elaine for a disgusting whore,
because she was too unbuttoned, or too wet.

You had George trying to defend that he wasn't literally
insane.

And every beat between was funny. To this day, if there's a
lull in the conversation when hanging out with my few
buddies... someone (ok, me) may well say "This is what life
is all about. Three buddies sitting around chewing gum.”
OR tasting something for the first time "..... it's a little
Lo Meiny."

But the best moment, by far, and my favorite moment of ALL
of Seinfeld:

George, trying to prove he's not crazy: "oh, here's Jerry,
he's my best friend he can explain all of this!"

*Jerry is wearing too thick of glasses for plot reasons and
can't see anything, and doesn't acknowledge george.*

Woman who thinks george is crazy: ".......... that's your
best friend???"

George: yeah but he doesn't wear glasses.

Woman: That man was wearing glasses.

also don't forget the direct sequel:

season 9's "Serenity Now!"

"you're not giving away our waterpik!!!!"

"He's crazy. His phone wasn't even hooked up. He just liked
ringing that bell.

ha, yeah. it has high replay value and the main thing I
found thats similarly fun to watch with high replay value is
tim & eric stuff (awesome show, check it out, beef house),
also simpsons/ren stimpy/specific south park episodes. Do
you know of other "good" shows? I watched half of jerrys
recent cereal movie and didnt like it or watch the other
half.
