What do you think about the band ?

My thought #1: Rock/alternative music has still no
boundaries, fuck big labels. Chemistry/good communication
within a 6-piece band is the key.

They have enough electronic stuff in their discography so
far not to get me b7 or b8 from this site, so MODS: please
bear this in your minds. !!!! :>

Q: KGLW ? You say it's rock but I can see/hear they have
some electronic stuff as well ? Wtf ?
A: Check albums Butterfly 3000/Butterfly 3001. Also check
what they did during Hamburg Live 2024 3hr marathon. Also
check The Silver Cord album, or better don't - just check
the satellite ep: Silver Cord

Have a great weekend y'all !

p.s. not for any Trump fans here

They released 10 albums yesterday and 15 today and they will
probably release another 27 full lengths this month.

lol @Thad

the quantity vs quality ratio surely has changed for them
over the years :)

I think you might enjoy the "Dragon Apocalypse" album. I'm
not a "thrash metal " expert but I love how they did that.
And the drummer learnt double kick drumming before/while
recording the album. I started to listening to more rock
music thanks to them. And getting new view on how some
electronic artists just got lazy or uninspiring over the
recent years, including Richard.

Butterfly 3001 is an album full of decent electronic/dance
remixes

LAZY_TITLE

and this is how far they've gone trying to do electronic
stuff properly, so far. I love this whole ep and the whole
album is a crap extension of this ep.

when they did a " theia electronic improvisation" during the
Hamburg show this year lots of people including me just went
to the beer booths.

solely electronics stuff is not their big thing so far, but
I love how they're able to incorporate digital/electronic
into their rockings. 6 talented inviduals.

Have a great Sunday evening/Sunday morning everyone !

I do like them, I’m just overwhelmed by the amount they
put out and for record store day events. I’ve seen them
once and I’ll hopefully do it again

Understood ! Before my first Gizz gig I just threw all their
stuff in one KGLW spotify playlist. And listened to it on
random order. But they're really slowing down.

Some band members them recording some cool stuff in the
meantime, like the new Ambrose with GUM album - although the
project is a huge Tame Impala rip-off - the Gumbrose album
sounds really cool with some great singles in it.

And new Murlocs live album is also a great extension of one
of the core KGLW ingredients which is Amby's voice. Looking
fwd to seeing them live one day.

Discovering KGLW music was very cool and it was a great
companion when I moved back to Holland last year. My gizz
summer 24.

That's why I decided to see them 3 times May 24 during my 2
weeks vacation :)) I had tickets ready long time before for
Prague, Hamburg and Amsterdam :)) I got to hear Dragon
twice, they really have perfected playing this quite complex
track over time.

They're touring the US now, T ! Hope you get to see them
live. It's never the same experience since they change
setlist from gig to gig.
